Community involvement is an important value to The So Cal Group. This weekend, team members met up for their annual Volleyball Tournament and Fundraiser for Operation Smile! Friends and family also joined the team, and together they raised over $700 to benefit Operation Smile. Operation Smile is an international children’s medical charity that provides free life-changing surgeries for children with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial deformities.

The So Cal Group Supports Red Nose Day!
The So Cal Group supported Red Nose Day again! The team had a great time participating in the fun-raiser to benefit children’s charities. The Red Nose Day Campaign raises awareness and money to help kids who need support at home and around the world. Red Nose Day is on a mission to lift kids out of poverty and has raised over $1 billion globally in the last 25 years. To learn more, check out http://rednoseday.org/

The So Cal Group gave back by participating in a walk for the American Cancer Society. Many Orange County residents attended the event to help raise funds for this important cause.
The So Cal Group Gives Back…to The Boys and Girls Club of Venice
The So Cal Group gave back over the weekend by volunteering again for The Boys and Girls Club’s 7th Annual Champion of Youth Gala. The event included a silent auction and dinner. Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers also attended the event and were recognized for their contributions to The Boys and Girls Club. Watch the video on YouTube.
The So Cal Group Gives Back…Thanksgiving in a Backpack
The So Cal Group collected food items to provide Thanksgiving dinner to the less fortunate this holiday season. The company collected canned goods, specific boxed items and clothing and teamed up with a local church. The church helped distribute the items to local schools and families.
The So Cal Group Gives Back… by Helping to Make Strides Against Breast Cancer
The So Cal Group had a great time with Orange County residents over the weekend participating in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. The So Cal Group was able to help raise over $300 for the cause, exceeding the $100 minimum they were asked to make. Thanks to our team members who spearheaded the fundraising and to all who participated.

The So Cal Group participated in a 3 on 3 charity basketball tournament over the weekend. The So Cal Group took home the trophy this year and was able to help raise over $1500 for Operation Smile. That’s something to smile about!
The So Cal Group Gives Back in a Charity Dodge Ball Tournament
The So Cal Group, The Boys and Girls Club and several other local businesses held their First Annual Charity Dodge ball Tournament on December 19th, in Venice, Calif. The tournament consisted of 13 teams who participated in hopes of becoming dodge ball champions. Over 20 local businesses who attended this event made contributions to help raise funds for The Boys & Girls Club and Operation Smile. The So Cal Group Gives Back…at Komen’s Walk For the Cure
The So Cal Group teamed up with The Aventura Sailing Association for their Second Annual Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure over the weekend. The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Series raises funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Hundreds of people attended and each was asked to donate $15 minimum to the cause. Participants enjoyed food, drinks, a raffle and free admission to the Ocean Institute that day. Read the full article.

The So Cal Group Gives Back to The Boys and Girls Club of Venice! We had a great time in Los Angeles over the weekend, where we volunteered for The Boys and Girls Club’s Annual Silent Auction and Fundraiser Gala. Each year The So Cal Group is invited to volunteer at the event, to make sure everything go smoothly, and guests are greeted and cared for professionally. The So Cal Group team members handle everything from greeting guests, selling items on the auction floor, attending guests in the dining room, accounting for items sold in auction and delivering auction items to guests.
